Don't worry...this Talk Thursday isn't about your favorite noun case or your method for appropriately parsing a verb (non-geeks, sorry, that went over your head).Rather, in an attempt to be relevant to the conversations at hand... The 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
Luckily, so far this year, there hasn't been anything too sketchy from the commentators (anyone remember THIS from the 2008 summer Olympics?!). However, I feel like I know ENTIRELY too much about Apolo Ohno (who, by the way, is from my hometown). Plus, whenever I see Shaun White, I get jealous. Not so much for the snowboarding prowess (which judging by my infintesimal experience, I will never have), but instead for that kids hair. I hate when boys are prettier than me. Which also makes me not love mens figure skating; I want to wear the sparkles. I've determined I could never marry a male figure skater....oh well....

2. Alpine skiing. I feel the need... the need for speed.
3. At first I was tempted to bash the biathlon, but then I realized it's probably the most practical sport. How many times have I been in the snowy woods and wished I had a pair of skis and a rifle? Pointless and ridiculous... either speed skating or ski jumping, though I enjoy watching both.
4. Bob Costas is my new hero. I could watch this guy every evening for two weeks. Oh wait, I AM!
bob costas is annoying. i like brian williams.
i think it would be cool to ski, but i have no desire to learn. jen loves curling.
bobsledding is cool. actually, anything that goes fast and is a potential hazard to life is pretty cool.
pointless game, yet still cool: curling. actually, i see most sports as pointless, yet still cool.

Figure Skating, or speed skating.

Curling. It's weird, yet I think I could manage to learn how.

Ice Dancing.

4. I wish I had his voice. It would be amazing for preaching!! Other than that, in love would not be an appropriate descriptive.
I LOVE Bob Costas. Like want him to read to me all day, talk to me in my dreams and then say good morning to me, LOVE him.
I know I am late with this, but I LOVE THE OLYMPICS! Being unemployed has allowed me to watch almost every event NBC broadcasts. When it ends on Sunday, I think I will be devastated.
Shaun White is not pretty. He looks like Animal from the Muppets. Not hot.
1. My new fav thing was Snowboard Cross and Ski Cross. There were some awesome wipeouts and some super fast moving.
2. I think it would be pretty cool to ice skate, but I wouldn't want to be a figure skater. Maybe play hockey!
3.Curling, biathalon, and ski jumping.
4. Only a little. I mean, he's awesome, but I'm married.
