Talk Thursday // Pet-Peeves

Grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.

For some reason, when I see those things, I automatically assume people are 87% dumber than they probably are. This is a personal flaw; Jesus and I are working on it.

Therefore I ask: what's your biggest pet-peeve? Do you have any? Do you have several? When they occur, do you have the irresistible urge to punch someone in the face? Slam your head against the wall? Scream violently for several minutes? Or are you much calmer and less prone to dramatic responses?

I am absolutely grossed out when a waitress/waiter comes up and friend-ily inquires " how's everything tastin' folks?"

For some reason, the fact that they have to ask if it tastes good grosses me out.

I'll probably be adding more later on. I've got a few and they're all weird like that.
*sigh*

Word Verification: Bolar, which is quite similar to the word Bolivar, which is the town in which I met you! How crazy is that!?

I think my last blog post nicely sums up my latest pet peeve.

May I just say that I am extremely glad to know that you have never been to Forks for that reason. :)

It's nice to know that I am not alone.

I have to say my greatest pet peeve is a dirty kitchen sink (remember Cary when the dishes would FILL our counterS, but the sink would be spotless...yeah.). The second (and third) are likened unto it: 2) hair in the bath drain and 3) hair or toothpaste in the bathroom sink.

I don't know why sinks get me like the do, but they really do.

Word Verification: unsubju - the explative for grammar freaks.

(And yes, I spelled explative wrong on purpose. Muahahaha.)

People who leave their Bluetooth on constantly, even when they're not talking to anyone. What is up with that??? That and people who leave sunglasses on when they're inside. I seriously want to slap the glasses off their face.

Happy birthday week!

Lots of love,
Kempey

Oh fun. You know there was a guy sitting behind me in class about half a year ago (yes, I remember these things) and he was munching on a cup full of ice. Every now and then you'd hear the cup raise and tilt as an avalanche of ice would cascade down. You'd hear him dumping more and more ice into his mouth until he found just the right amount. Then, you'd hear the loudest munching ever. I swear it was echoing throughout the room as the prof was lecturing. I confess that by the end of glass I was seriously tempted to quietly get up, turn around, take the cup from him and fling it off of the balcony outside (we were on the second floor), and then sit back down without saying a word. But alas, I did not.

Also, I really don't like it when people eat loud foods around other people who are not eating. Unfortunately, this happens in class allll the time.

i have too many to post on here. i don't know that the internet would even be able to whole all my pet peeves. but, like you sarah, i am working on them with Jesus.

i'm not going to expound on them because it will only sound like i'm complaining, and i complain too much (it seems).

My pet pev is mindless noises. For example someone shaking their car keys while talking to someone or the sound of someone scratching. I am compelled to reach out and grab their hand and sternly say "STOP!" I generally only act out if I am comfortable with the person.
